 Our People Make the Difference David Hooper, President of Action Warehouse, was taught the value of personal service from his parents, company founders Leland and Norma Hooper. That's why commitment to delivering flexible solutions for his customers are values that are close to home. David believes that a good President rolls-up his sleeves, dives in and goes to work. He is involved with every aspect of daily operations, as well as, determining the growth opportunities for Action Warehouse. William Burr, Director of Operations, has a formula for making successful business decisions. It is called relying on experience. His roles at Action Warehouse include Director of Operations, I.S.O. Quality Manager, Safety Manager, Inventory Control Specialist, and dispatcher. He also heads up the Packaging Division as well. Billy thrives on doing the job right – the first time. He encourages growth in the continually changing world of logistics. And, with experience on his side, generates solutions aimed at big picture results based on customer need. William Burr has been with the company for 22 years and provides expertise all systems operations. Mr. Burr is especially adept at heading up high movement, distribution based accounts. His knowledge in the logistics industry is unsurpassed. Mr. Burr receives tremendous cooperation from his staff and has kept key people in place for long periods of time allowing Action Warehouse to reap the benefits of high morale and employee continuity. While Billy is a great communicator and problem solver, his strengths are technical knowledge, experience and vision. Kent Denning, Personnel Director... is our personnel specialist and has been with the company for 7 years. Mr. Denning heads the Workforce Management division of our company. Mr. Denning is presently is responsible for the ongoing assembly of 125 workers at Firestone Tire and Rubber and Titan tire. Action warehouse hires, fires, provides paychecks and benefits to all employees and administers all aspects of the payroll for these two companies. Barbara Hooper, Director of Staffing Because manufacturing companies are especially sensitive to stoppages, temporary staffing is essential. At Action Warehouse, we have our own Temporary Staffing division to help companies like yours, remain in operation. This division has helped to fill last minute staffing holes on a daily basis with both Firestone and Titan. This division is headed by Barbara Polson who has been in this industry for 10 years, after first serving with temporary staffing giant Robert Half International where she served as a Branch Manager. Action Warehouse currently provides this temporary employment service for an estimated 65 companies and has 350 registered workers on call.
Tom Economos, Director of Sales
In 2003,
Action Warehouse made the decision to diversify their services and
expand their offerings. It was with the hiring of Tom Economos
that the diversification began in earnest. As Operations
Director and business owner himself for two decades, Tom understands
how a business needs to run. As the Action Warehouse Sales Director,
Tom understands how to cultivate personal relationships through
responsiveness, honesty and fairness. Tom works closely with
Operation’s Director Billy Burr to insure that Action Warehouse can
perform for the customer. |
